Payment and Insurance
All appointments are considered fee-for-service, meaning you are expected to pay the appointment fee at or prior to the time of service. Credit cards and checks are accepted. You may also be able to use a health savings account.
Submitting Claims to Insurance for Out-of-Network Reimbursement
Some insurance companies cover medical nutrition therapy while others do not. If you have health insurance you may have out-of-network benefits that could cover a percentage of your appointment fees. In order to determine if your insurance company will reimburse you for the expense, it is recommended that you contact them directly.
Upon receipt of payment, we will gladly provide you with an invoice to submit for session reimbursement that has the diagnostic codes required for an insurance claim. If you submit a letter from your doctor with your claim, you may be more likely to receive reimbursement. If you choose to submit an insurance claim, any reimbursement should go directly to you as you will have already paid for our services.
